The congregation filed out to encounter a band of youthful believers in the Bahai Faith, who had come to convince the True Lights that Christ had already returned in 1844 in the person of Baha'u'llah, the Persian founder of Bahaism. One of the proselytizers urged Russell McLeod, an elder, to read some Bahai tracts, but the Camden, S. C., True Light leader replied politely: “We don't have much time.”
