effectuous

Effective; efficacious.

As if that piece were ſweeter which the wolf had bitten, or the raven had pick'd, and more effectuous :

and that the said church, thus godly used by the servants of the Lord in the Lord's true service, for the effectuous presence of God's grace (wherewith he doth by his holy word and promises endue his people there present and assembled, to the attainment as well of commodities worldly, necessary for us, as also of all heavenly gifts and life everlasting), is called by the word of God (as it is indeed) the temple of the Lord and the house of God;

Rycht excellent, rucht hie and mychty prince, oure derrest brother and uncle, we commend ws unto yow in oure maist effectuous and heartlie manere.

And moore over our saide derrest moder haith sent unto the saide Busshopps and Priour of Saint Andrewes many divers tender and effectuous writingges to the effecte aforesaid.
