Between valleys.

A valley lying between other valleys, or between other entities.

At the outer margins of the intervalleys the sagebrush type is modified by an admixture of grasses and weeds, of which wheat bunch grass, wild geranium, lupine, balsam root, and giant wild rye are most conspicuous.

On adult shells the posterior end of the notch is ill defined and may be filled with callus flesh with the intervalleys between the ridge.
