Tending toward the center or axis

In a Galilean frame of reference, any point fixed relative to the Earth has an axipetal acceleration (ie directed toward the world's axis following the shortest distance, which is the perpendicular), of value Ω²(r sin θ).

Seeking the axon

A general law has been laid down by van Gehuchten and Cajal, that all nerve impulses are axipetal, that is, they pass towards the attachment of the axon, by which they leave the body of the cell.
